It's a boy's game

Firstborn's Little League team, the Athletics, proudly completed their regular season of play tied for first place. Yesterday was the first game of the play off series and again they rose triumphant. It was a rather exciting game. Too exciting, really. At the bottom of the final inning, the A's were up to bat, but down by a point. The bases were loaded and there were two outs on the board. Thankfully, one of our strong hitters, Johnny, was at the plate and he didn't disappoint. Wham, bam, slam! He hit it out to left field and the Rangers went a-diving to make the catch, but came up with mouths full of dust instead. Three players home and a runner on 2nd. Johnny made it home a couple of plays later and the final score was 14-11. Firstborn takes credit for two of those points. (The posted photo is of Firstborn sliding into home plate at an earlier game. The ump was a bit delayed so you'll just have to take my word for it: Firstborn was safe. Game 2: Wednesday 5:30pm.

Go A's!!
