He is the half part of a blessed man,
Left to be finished by such as she;
And she a fair divided excellence,
Whose fulness of perfection lies in him.
~William Shakespeare (King John, 2.1.456-9)

This summer will be memorable for two unique celebrations that shall be marked: the beginning of a Marriage and the honoring of a Golden Wedding Anniversary. No doubt there will be many pictures and tales to record following those events, but for now I wanted to take an opportunity to introduce my dear niece and her betrothed.
While my dearest niece (she's my only one, so I can say that) is eagerly awaiting the title "Mrs.," she is already cherishing the new title of "Mommy." This dapper young man was tragically left a widower and single father of two young children. In the absence of their mother, my niece has gently, but not surprisingly, won the affections of these darling children and with it their pleadings to call her Mother. Don't they look sweet?
Most inspiring is that just days after this couple is united in matrimony, they will join us and the rest of our immediate family in honoring and admiring their grandparents--my parents--for fifty years of marriage!
