day twenty four
- Baseball season officially began for us Saturday night when Firstborn's team played their first game. He pitched most of the game. Very exciting!
- Upon entering (well, nearly entering) the early third trimester of pregnancy, I suddenly remembered that this is the part where I get one day of energy followed by a day of complete exhaustion. Today was an off day, but there was still so much to do. Must remember to pace myself.
- I've started working on a Scott Joplin piece (Bink's Waltz), just because. I think I have a habit of working on new pieces during pregnancy, too. And a habit of becoming very territorial about the kitchen. And a habit of wanting to purge everything in the house. And of wanting to live on cheeseburgers, lemon flavored sweets and milk shakes. And, well, that's enough.
- Tonight The Professor hosted a mini-recital at our home featuring several students performing Sonatinas including some historical information and form analysis. Fun!
- I have not completed last week's tasks, yet. But, I have been hard at work trying to accomplish them. It would be easy to offer some excuses (see above) for not completing my tasks, but then I read a entire entry in Divine Intimacy
this weekend about not making excuses for our selves...something about humility...
- Lastly, I voted in the Texas primary today. My vote went wholeheartedly to Ron Paul, even though I am not sure he has campaigned with a whole hearted desire to get into the White House.
And now for the final update and a graphic for this wordy, listy post:
