Nine is such a happy place.

Zesty, joyful, confident, spirited, optimistic:

that's nine and that is my darling Sunshine.

When she came into our lives that chilly January morning, she brought with her a new kind of fun. A spinning, zany fun that completely rocked our little world. And now, she is still crazy-fun, but also tremendously creative and quietly determined. All in all, a most delightful and beautiful daughter and companion. Happy Birthday to our sweet, sweet girl!

Celebration #1: Woodland Party

Toadstool Cupcakes

Guests made terrariums with delicate African Violets,
chipper ferns and fearsome Venus Flytraps.

Celebration #2: Just the family

On her birthday, we quietly celebrated with presents sent from afar and a Red Velvet cake kindly whipped up by a brother and sisters.

There is one more gift+celebration planned, but that one remains veiled in secrecy for the time being...
