Sundays are not counted in the forty days of lent, so I thought I might do a little catch-up post today. On February 13th, The Prof took us all out on a little day trip to Brenham, Texas. One of the main attractions in Brenham is the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory, a fascinating destination indeed. We weren't allowed to take photographs of the inner workings of the factory so you will have to accept my assurance that it was really an interesting sight enjoyed by all the family. At the completion of the tour, each guest is given a generous cup of ice cream, which I was permitted to photograph:
After our tour and a picnic lunch, we meandered on over to the exquisite Antique Rose Emporium. Unfortunately, this is not the exact time of year to see blooming roses, but we still enjoyed the nursery and gardens immensely. There was a delightful, whimsical children's garden that even included a yellow brick road:
for our slowly-developing Kinder-garten;
see it there at child height in the upper left corner?
Genius!
Tea party niche: Love it!!
Happiness = Two children + Radio Flyer wagon!
