::Creative Fun::

See, I told you she is a creative force in this household! Our dear Sunshine received for her birthday, among a wonderful array of crafty supplies, a face painting kit which has been in nearly daily use ever since. Girls with decorations and characters painted on their faces and limbs, painted on jewelry, painted on flip-flops, all round painted on fun!

::Birthday Celebration, Part III::

Seems I may have neglected to relate the third and final part of Sunshine's birthday celebrations; the Prof and I treated her (and her siblings and a friend) to a ride through the streets of the Big City on a horse and buggy. Very pleasant and civilized way to enjoy the sites and sounds of the hustle and bustle known as Downtown.

{Incidentally, this was Sunshine's gift from The Prof and me; we started at Christmas, and are continuing with the birthdays this year, to give the children occasions and memories rather than wrapped presents.}

::Baby Book Update::

There have been reports that Little O may be getting himself into the seated position independently (I never prop my babies up but prefer to just wait for them to find their way alone) There was also a reported sighting of a baby on his feet with hands on the hearth this afternoon. Little O is my first unconventional crawler; he rocked on his hands and knees for a couple of weeks, looking as though he were going to take off in the traditional stance but then abandoned such efforts in favor of a seal-like mode of transport. I suspect he has very strong arms!

::Crafty Goodness::

The household has been quite pre-occupied with the making of little gifts for the feast of Saint Valentine. I truly {heart} making crafts with the children when I know we can give it all away in the end. There are some rather ambitious projects in the works this year, but I think these photos may have already revealed too much!
