thursday list :: things I loved as a child

• very long bike rides & getting lost in my own village
• my "My Fair Lady" pink bike with the banana seat
• playing with the neighbors
• my pink bedroom with all the windows
• the itty bitty balcony outside those windows (accessible only thru the windows)
• fresh blueberry muffins
• summer road trips
• the pinball machine in our game room
• cousins (okay, not things, but still...)
• caterpillars
• the little hiding place by the front door
• spitting watermelon seeds at Aunt Millie's house
• reading on the loveseat in the formal living room (seemed so forbidden!)
• the long hill between our neighbor's house and our's...perfect for sledding!
• roller skates
• frogs living outside the basement windows
• my dad's Gremlin (Red!) (AMC car)
• going swimming in the big high school pool during the summers
• sunday visitors
• shopping with my mom
