It's a Boy's Game: Update

The post-season tournament is nearly over. Since the last report, the boys won the second game, but lost the third. As it is a double elimination tourney, they will face the Rays, the team they lost to, one more time to determine the champion.

Though the A's lost, there are some good things to report about last night's game. The boys were down 8 to 1 and then 8-2, for quite awhile. (Bragging alert) It was in the final inning that our own Firstborn stepped up to the plate and after a strike and two balls, he took a good swing at it and put the bat to the ball. The Rays went running and Firstborn ran all the way to second base, meanwhile two teammates made it home. Within a couple of plays, Firstborn and another runner put two more points on the scoreboard. Both teams really turned up the heat after that and the final score was 8-7.

The final face-off is Thursday night: A's vs. the Rays. It promises to be a very exciting game.
